Some basic rules and precautions- for participating in the Training group are identified here below. Remember its fun!!! Enjoy yourself!

You must consult with your Health Care professional prior to joining the training group or using KayakPro’s Ergometers to ensure you are fit enough for exercise- by becoming part of this training group or by using KayakPro Ergometers the participating individual accepts full responsibility for self- that he or she is fit enough to undertake exercise- it is your responsibility to consult with your doctor or healthcare professional.

By participating in the training group the participant /  user assumes and accepts full and complete responsibility for self. And for all potential and actual injury that results from undertaking strenuous exercise or by the use of the KayakPro SpeedStroke GYM Ergometers.

Before training or racing you should make yourself fully familiar with your equipment its use and its functionality.- This is a self monitoring, honesty based group, with an honesty based  reporting format – Sure, it is possible to cheat, by posting incorrect information, times or using un-calibrated Ergometers but it is probably in no-one’s best interest and not in the spirit of the group.

KayakPro USA LLC and this website undertake no policing or validation of the reported results.

Please note the Resistance level 1-9 on the flywheel lever or the paddle shaft length does not make a difference to the distance traveled / or time results. Results are calculated on a calibrated Drag factor and an input-able Athlete’s / user weight variant.

To avoid over-heating it may be prudent to employ the use of an air fan.

Please ensure you:

  • Input your accurate body weight in Kg.
  • You have calibrated your KayakPro SpeedStroke GYM
  • Follow the guidelines in the instruction manual for the SpeedStroke GYM Ergometer regarding use and safety.
